With the media highlighting rogue builders and shoddy work practices we set out with the purpose of giving the public a better service than what is traditionally offered.
We believe we have set in stone standards and practices that other building firms try to stay clear of. We believe in giving people better choices and enlightening them on better practices.
We have assembled a team of staff that we are proud of. They have exceptional talent, dedication and the ability to think on their feet as well as relish each challenge and opportunity that comes their way.
Robert Hargrove brings quality control to Fortfield a term not normally associated with the building trade. Having served his time with McLaughlin and Harvey's as a joiner, he has frequently found himself working long hours to master skills that others may not achieve in a lifetime.
Robert has overseen a wide variety of construction projects throughout the years. He has always been driven by quality, finish and attention to detail which is something a builder looking to finish early on a Friday would not take the time to do.
He has strong desire to see good working ethics put into practice in a world of construction where often times quality is sacrificed for quantity.
We pride ourselves in our ability to not only get the job done within the agreed time scale, but to do it with a manner of professionalism.
We aim to give sound, practical advice on finish and specification issues while informing people of advances in both product variety and affordability.
Our goal, through this, is to give people an awareness of the options they have in design terms in order to better meet their needs in the most cost-effective way.
John Haddock has worked for Fortfield since day one. Since his start he has been the chief man on the ground for many of our most successful projects. John’s enthusiasm and "can do" attitude has been inspirational not only for everyone at Fortfield but also for all our customers.
Keeping our talent on the ground in the early days was how we ensured good standards and customer care. John has had the personal experience and opportunity to instill this ethos throughout the ranks
This year he has progressed to the position of project manager and just as expected has excelled in his new role, bringing the company up another level.
